I didn't exactly get a head start in life. I came from nothing, grew up poor, and ended up in an abusive foster home where surviving was the goal every single day. The odds were stacked against me from the beginning, especially coming from a family trapped in a cycle of addiction. To break out, I joined the Air Force. I wanted to serve, build a life, and prove I could be more than where I came from. But life threw a curve ball and I ended up getting a general discharge for reasons that were completely out of my control. It was a massive setback, but it didn't change my drive or who I am. Now, I’m focused on a new path: opening my own car wrapping and vehicle customization shop. Cars and customization aren't just a hobby for me—they are my way forward. I have the skills, the work ethic, and the vision, but I need the startup capital to get the doors open, buy equipment, and secure a space. This shop is more than just a business to me. It's my chance to completely change my life, build financial stability, and finally break the generational chain of addiction in my family once and for all. I am competing in my first amateur MMA fight to help raise money for charity, while also transforming my life and proving to myself I can do hard things. All funds raised will be split equally amongst the following incredible nonprofits: St Jude Children's Hospital is an organization whose reputation speaks for itself. They're leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. As a father of two precious children I pray never to experience that kind of pain, but I'm forever grateful that organizations like St. Jude exist to provide support when it's most needed. The First Step Foundation helps people with spinal cord, neurological, and related disorders regain movement and mobility by providing access to the BARWIS Neurological Reengineering elite recovery program via training scholarships. To date, their scholarships have helped over 30 people who have been told they would never walk again and rise back up on their feet. I'm grateful to be advising their board through an ad-hoc committee and training locally for my fight at BARWIS Colorado with professional MMA fighter Collin Anglin. Better Giving is the nonprofit I founded. We provide a free one-stop solution for nonprofits to fundraise, save, and invest. It's been my life's work over the past 4 years, and we've helped hundreds of organizations process over $6 million in donations.
