Overview

Our mission is to enhance the capacity of individuals, communities, organisations and government in fulfilling sustainable environment, education and development goals in southeast Madagascar.

Madagascar is among the world's most significant biodiversity hotspots. The level of endemism among its flora and fauna is estimated at over 80%. Second to none in their reputation for friendliness and generosity, the people of Madagascar make up an ethnically diverse population of around 21 million. It is one of the world's most impoverished and least developed countries.

We work in partnership with local communities to implement long-term, positive impact projects that help build resilience for rural people against economic, health and climate crises. We work across four key programmes to conserve and protect Madagascar’s unique biodiversity, improve rural healthcare, provide education infrastructure and support the growth of traditional livelihoods to bring in greater incomes.
