Children's Theatre of Annapolis needs to raise $100,000 to cover the cost of vital repairs to our facility and fully fund our productions and educational program - your gift today moves us closer to that goal. Traditional arts funding is declining. But your support ensures that every child who dreams of being part of a theatre program has the chance to learn, grow, and shine. Already this season, CTA has encountered essential repairs to our theatre costing $35,000. These include: replacing the lighting system in the theatre ($16,000), replacing the roof on our workshop where set building equipment and supplies are stored ($9,500), replacing the furnace chimney on our education building that was damaged by vandals ($5,000), installing a new drainage system to prevent flooding in our dressing rooms ($2,500), and repairing our front doors so they latch properly ($2000). Your gift will literally help keep the lights on at CTA. At CTA, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and enriching environment for all. We believe in the power of the performing arts to bring people together and in providing meaningful opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds to participate, learn, and thrive. This season CTA has already provided: $3825 in financial assistance to children in need, free tuition for 17 children affiliated with our partners at the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families, 50% off tuition to 4 children served by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), 45 free tickets to furloughed Federal Employees, and 85 free tickets to Title One Schools.
