A healthy ocean helps sustain millions of jobs annually, and is a driver of climate, transportation, recreation, clean energy, protein, and coastal indigenous cultures. Established in 2003, Blue Frontier’s mission is to build the solution-oriented citizen engagement needed to protect the ocean, the coasts, and the communities, both human and wild, that depend on them.  In 2023, Blue Frontier has gained more than 20,000 podcast listeners, launched the Point Molate Now initiative bringing hundreds of community members together for environmental action in Richmond, California, organized meetings between a dozen marine conservation groups and leadership from the White House and federal agencies that manage more than $10 billion in ocean climate funding Blue Frontier helped generate. In addition we are making a film about the loss of kelp forests in California and how this climate emergency is impacting local communities. Blue Frontier's vital resources and opportunities bring industry leaders and citizen scientists alike into decision making processes that contribute to thriving ecosystems.
