Rural night tuition and learning support center

Executive summary: Thousands of rural children struggle to complete homework, understand classroom lessons, and prepare for examinations because they lack educational support at home. Many parents are daily wage laborers, have limited literacy, and cannot provide academic guidance. Frequent power interruptions, overcrowded homes, and inadequate learning resources further reduce study time. Gramiya Valarchi Sangam proposes to establish a Rural Night Tuition and Learning Support Center that will provide free evening and night tuition, foundational learning support, digital learning access, mentoring, and exam preparation for 150 underprivileged children from five rural villages. The center will operate six days a week and provide a safe, well-lit learning environment with qualified tutors and educational materials. The project aims to improve school attendance, learning outcomes, examination performance, and school retention while reducing child labor risks and early school dropout. Problem statement: Rural children face multiple educational barriers: Poor foundational reading and mathematics skills. Lack of qualified tuition support. Parents unable to assist with studies. Limited electricity and study space. Low confidence and poor examination performance. Higher risk of school dropout, especially among girls and marginalized communities. A community-based night tuition center can provide structured academic support during evening hours when children are available after school and household responsibilities. Goal: To improve the educational achievement and future opportunities of rural village children through accessible, high-quality evening and night learning support. Objectives: * Provide free tuition support for 150 rural children. * Improve reading, writing, mathematics, and English skills. * Increase pass percentages and examination performance. * Reduce school dropout among vulnerable children. * Create a safe learning space for girls and disadvantaged children. * Strengthen parent engagement in children's education. Target beneficiaries: Total children: 150 Classes 1-5: 60 Classes 6-8: 50 Classes 9-10: 40 Expected outcomes: 150 children receive regular academic support. At least 80% improve reading and mathematics skills. School attendance increases to above 90%. Pass percentage improves by at least 25%. School dropout reduced by at least 50%. Increased confidence and educational aspirations among children.
